Terms of Service

1. Scope

These Terms set out the conditions for using the Ssuessueknits website at ssuessueknits.com (the “Website”) and the Ssuessueknits mobile app (the “App”; together with the Website, the “Service”), operated by SSUESSUE (“we”), and the rights and obligations of users and the operator.

Personal information processing is explained in the Privacy Policy. Sharing features such as works and comments are also governed by the Community Guidelines, which form part of these Terms.

Accepting the terms of Google, Kakao, Apple or another external sign-in provider is separate from accepting these Terms.

2. The service

The Website provides knitting and crochet tools, including chart generators and gauge calculators, project records, shared works and comments, journal content, and a yarn and pattern catalog. The App provides project records, sharing of works and comments, browsing of yarn, pattern and tool information, schedules and notifications, and account management. Some tools are available without registration; saving to an account or posting requires sign-in.

The Service has no ordering, payment or seller settlement features. Product and store information shown in the catalog does not by itself create a purchase contract with us or with a store.

We may improve or change the service. Important feature changes or discontinuation are communicated through site notices or other means accessible to affected users.

3. Accounts, deletion and restrictions

You must be at least 14 years old to register for the Service.

Members must use email or social sign-in accounts they are authorized to use, keep registration information accurate and protect their authentication methods. This does not exclude our legal security and privacy obligations.

You may delete your account in the Website's member information screen or in the App under Profile → Delete account. Contact us through the Service if sign-in or deletion fails. Personal information deletion and retention are addressed in the Privacy Policy.

Breaches such as infringement of others' rights, illegal content, harassment, threats or security abuse may result in content or feature restrictions or account suspension, taking the nature and impact of the breach into account.

We explain the reason for restrictions and how to appeal. Where urgent safety measures or legal restrictions prevent advance notice, we provide subsequent notice to the extent permitted. You may appeal through the Service's contact channel; we review the relevant facts and communicate the outcome.

4. User content

You retain the rights you hold in content such as work photos and project records. You may upload only content you are legally authorized to use.

You permit us to store, copy, display within the Service, resize and generate previews of content to the extent necessary to provide the service you request. This permission does not include external advertising, social media promotion, separate commercialization or training artificial intelligence. Such uses require a separate agreement on the material, media, scope, duration and other relevant terms.

Permission for new service displays ends after deletion of the content or account. Deletion processing and legally required retention are addressed in the Privacy Policy.

Content that infringes others' copyright (such as unauthorized copies of patterns), illegal, hateful or obscene content, harassment and threats are not allowed. Content restriction, removal and appeals follow Section 3. You may report infringement or harmful content through the report feature on works and comments or through the Service's contact channel.

5. Tool output

You may use output from tools such as the chart generator for personal or commercial purposes within the rights and licenses applicable to the source images, fonts and supplied assets. Using a tool does not itself grant third-party copyright or separate permission to use protected material.

You must check the conditions for your materials and output and obtain any necessary rights. Assets displaying separate usage conditions are subject to those conditions.

6. External links

Catalog purchase links lead to external sellers. Purchases, payments, delivery and refunds through those links take place between you and the seller; we are not the seller in that transaction. Check prices, stock and transaction terms with the seller.

These explanations about external links do not exclude our legal responsibility for our own actions.

7. Using the App

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. The store operators are not parties to these Terms, and installation and updates are separately subject to the store's own terms.

Device permissions such as camera, photos and notifications are requested when you use the related feature, and the remaining features stay available if you decline. Notifications are provided only if you choose to receive them and can be turned off at any time in the App settings.

Some App features may be unavailable depending on the operating system version or device, and we may end support for old versions for safety and compatibility.

8. Scope of responsibility

Tool calculations may differ from actual results depending on inputs, yarn, needles, gauge and working methods. Check results and samples before making your project.

Natural disasters, system failures or other events may interrupt the service. The cause of an interruption and our responsibility are assessed under applicable law.

These Terms do not exclude or limit liability for our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or any other liability or user rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

9. Changes and governing law

When we change these Terms, we announce the changes and their effective date within the Service at least 7 days before they take effect. Changes that are unfavorable to users or otherwise material are announced at least 30 days in advance, and we obtain separate consent where legally required. If you do not agree to a change, you may delete your account before the effective date.

These Terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea. You may seek resolution of service complaints or disputes through the Service's contact channel. Your right to use legally available dispute resolution procedures or courts is not restricted.
